Cannot create update patch?

Do you get the message "cannot create update patch" while you are trying to update Creatures 3 with patch 2?

The simple answer is that, although the error message is confusing it's trying to tell you that you don't need to patch the game - it's already patched! Patch 2 was released only a few months after Creatures 3 in 1999. Since then, pretty much all copies of C3 sold (especially the C3 in Creatures Internet Edition) have already been patched to level 2. So basically, there is no need to worry.
