Believe in Yourself to Overcome your Anxiety

There is an adage which claims that for you to succeed in anything you must believe in yourself. You must never give in to the thought that you are going to fail. Instead you need to reach for your dreams and grab the success in them. Of course there are many people who may try to pull you down; many people who may try to make you believe that you are not going to make it, but never let them drag you from achieving what you believe in.

Oft a time, when you are developing strategies to achieve your goals, you are usually caught up with the anxiety revolving on what you are doing. Particularly, if you are involved in any works of art, there are usually a lot of speculation about how whatever you are working on will be appreciated by your audience. This is where many people fail because they perceive themselves as inadequate enough to get appreciated especially when is starting out. These thoughts can at times make you quit in what you are doing and decide to focus on something which may entirely fail.

Since I was a kid I was obsessed with comics. I would go to book stores or comic stores just to grab a copy on my favorite comic whenever a new series was out. It is this passion love in comics which made me desire to become an artist. I had a setback however; I couldn’t sketch good drawings which was very disappointing to me. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t make it to sketch anything presentable. Whatever I thought was something good happened to be disgusting to other. In school, I was a laughing stock from other kids for trying to emulate something which I could never be.

Overcoming Anxiety in Developing a Game-plan

My parent too belonged to this classic school of thought that I couldn’t make it on a talent that I was not gifted in. the teachers at my school seemed to believe so even though I had complete trust in them. This reality almost shattered my dreams. I almost quit what I so much loved and believed in.

The problem however, was that whenever I tried to quit, I felt so 2dbad of myself and perceived myself a failure in life. This feeling made me cling to my dreams a little bit linger each time, with the thought that one day all would come to pass and I would eventually giving to the harsh reality that I couldn’t make a good artist.

While I was in 7th grade, there was a local arts and culture symposium which had been organized in town, and I decided to pass the day’s afternoon at the town hall where the event was taking place. That was my life-changing moment. That afternoon as I walked into the hall, I arrived just in time to meet a wonderful speaker who was talking about the various careers in artistic work and how anyone can get started. She gave a very inspirational speech which was filled with examples. One of the examples was how an artist can use computer aided tools to sketch characters which could be used in creating animation for video games.

Accomplishing My Childhood Dreams

I didn’t have to hear more than that. She had talked about areas which were of specific interest to me and I felt that I needed to get out and grab my dreams as she advised. That was the best news about being an artist that I had ever had in ages. This was the same good news that I told my folks back at home when I arrived in the evening. Although they had tried isometricto discourage me about being an artist, they must have seen and read the passion in my face and tone because by the end of the week, my they purchased for me a PC and some software to help me get started I my work.

It was now time to get creative in coming up with unique animations and also learning how to use the various tools to make effects. It wasn’t long before I started getting better. The better I got, the more passionate I became. At one point, I felt that I needed to cash in on my work and started searching for gig in animation. I was lucky to get into an internship program at a local game development company which helped me improve my skills.

Eventually, when I was in high school, I started earning some cash working on various animated characters for video games at the company and since then I’ve worked with several companies in making designs for video games.
